Privacy Policy

World Radio Online respects user privacy and keeps the radio directory available without registration.

Last updated: August 3, 2026.

Main principle

World Radio Online can be used without registration. Users do not need to provide a name, phone number, email address or account to search radio stations, browse countries and genres, open station pages or start an online stream.

We do not request passport details, payment data, home addresses or other information that is not needed for a radio directory.

What may be stored in the browser

A user's device may store favorite stations, recently opened stations, volume level and some player settings. These details are normally stored in the user's browser and are used only for convenience on that device.

Users can remove this data through browser settings by clearing site data. After clearing, favorites, recent stations and local settings will be reset.

Technical data when the site opens

Like most websites, the server and infrastructure may automatically receive technical details such as IP address, request date and time, page URL, browser type, device, server response code and similar technical parameters.

This information is used to keep the site stable, diagnose unavailable pages, improve loading speed and understand which parts of the catalog need correction.

Search and player actions

When users search, filter, add favorites or press the play button, the site may process anonymized interface events such as a search action, a station page opening or a play start.

These events help improve navigation, detect broken stations and improve catalog quality. They do not require registration and are not intended to identify a person.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregated use of the directory, such as page visits, search actions, station page openings and player starts. Google Analytics may process device and browser information, IP-derived technical information, page URLs, referrer information and cookie or similar identifiers as described in Google’s privacy documentation.

We use these measurements to improve navigation, detect broken streams and understand which catalog pages are useful. We do not use analytics to ask visitors to create an account or to publish their personal information.

External streams and station websites

The catalog contains links to public online streams and official radio station websites. When a user starts a stream, the browser may connect to an external stream address owned by a station or its technical provider.

External websites and streaming servers operate under their own rules. World Radio Online does not control their policies, access logs, cookies, stream quality or stream availability.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses browser storage for saved settings and may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, security, correct interface behavior and, if advertising is enabled, advertising delivery and measurement. Cookies are small files or identifiers stored in a browser; similar technologies may include local storage, pixels and device identifiers.

Users can restrict or remove cookies through browser settings. Some features, such as saving local settings, analytics or advertising preferences, may work in a limited way after that. Where a consent message is shown, users can use it to accept, reject or manage non-essential choices.

Advertising and Google AdSense

World Radio Online may display advertising, including Google AdSense, after advertising is enabled for the site. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, limit, measure and personalise ads, subject to the choices and legal rights available to a visitor.

If Google AdSense is active, Google may use information about visits to this and other websites to show ads that may be more relevant to a visitor. World Radio Online does not sell a visitor’s name, email address or payment information to advertisers, and the directory does not require registration to listen to radio.

Visitors can learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and can manage Google advertising preferences at https://myadcenter.google.com/.

Consent for European visitors

When required for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will present a consent management platform before using non-essential advertising or analytics storage for the relevant purposes. The message will provide a way to make or change consent choices and identify the relevant advertising technology providers.

A visitor may withdraw or change choices through the available privacy or consent controls. Essential functions needed to run the directory may continue to operate without optional advertising personalisation.

Data sharing

We do not sell users' personal data. Data may be shared only when it is necessary for site operation, legal compliance, user rights protection, technical incident handling or response to a lawful request from a competent authority.

If a user opens an official station website or starts an external stream, further processing on that website or server is governed by the rules of the relevant owner.

User rights

Users may stop using the site, clear site data in the browser, disable cookies, avoid saving favorite stations and avoid opening external station websites. Depending on applicable law, users may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection in relation to personal data processed about them.

For privacy questions or rights requests, email info@wrohub.com or use the Contact page. Please include enough detail for us to understand the request and, where appropriate, the page or device context involved.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated when site functionality, catalog structure, storage methods or legal requirements change.
